Iyengar Yoga

*All new students *MUST* contact AnnaRainYoga@gmail.com prior to coming to class.

Iyengar yoga is characterized by dynamic, precise instruction and careful attention to the individual needs of each student. The practice of asana (poses) teaches control of the body. That control allows us to achieve greater sensitivity, awareness, and focus within ourselves, which we then use in further study of yoga (control of the breath; concentration; meditation). Classes offered are as follows:

Level I explores the basic categories of poses

Level II is intended for students who have extensive Iyengar experience and a dedicated home practice.

60+ and Friends is open to all students who appreciate more deliberate guidance

Yoga Therapy sessions (one-on-one private sessions) on appointment and by request
