Periodically we offer events, classes, and seminars geared toward health and natural wellness. We also lead nature and plant identification walks - and other various nature experiences.

Nature Identification (ID) Walks
Immerse yourself in the beauty of local flora and fungi!

​You'll join Jared, acupuncturist and naturalist, for an engaging and interactive ID walk as we delve into the world of plants and mushrooms right in your own backyard.

you will learn: 
  • How to recognize various plant species in their natural habitat.
  • How to identify different types of mushrooms.
  • The relationships between plants, fungi, and other organisms in the ecosystem.
  • Which plants are safe to eat and have medicinal properties.
  • How to identify potentially harmful plants and mushrooms.
  • How plant and mushroom populations change throughout the seasons.
  • Ethical foraging practices

What to Expect
We will start out at easy parking lot areas and take a wander through the verdant woods to look at various wild medicinals and edibles, and the geology they emerge from.

The availability of what we are looking for will vary based on the time of year, temperature, rainfall... all the particulars of what makes nature unpredictable.

Our walks are relaxed and leisurely! They are a great opportunity to have a meditative and educational time in the woods.

Nature ID Walks are a fantastic thing to do for any age, from kids to adults. We welcome everyone from herbalists to those who are simply curious to get to know nature better!
